Class, Workshop or Private Lesson
While the Feldenkrais Method® is taught as a lesson, there is no study or reading required. You learn by experiencing it.
To get moving with Brenda, use the 5 biggest differences to other methods to help you choose between a class, workshop or private lesson. If you need help to decide if the Feldenkrais Method is suitable for you, contact me anytime to discuss.
>> Book a Class
In a group class I verbally guide you through movements and variations. Classes are for one hour and all equipment is provided. Wear comfortable clothing.
Classes are held during school terms, four terms per year. In most cases a theme is followed for the duration of the term to sharpen the focus on what you will learn. There is no age limit or fitness level required, everyone learns at their own pace. Class notes are provided after each session.
Brenda is taking a break from teaching classes in 2019. If you have a more urgent need or would like to book a private lesson, please contact Brenda directly.

Where to go
Workshops have a specific focus on learning a particular skill or function. In a workshop, I verbally guide you through several movement lessons in succession. The potential for your awareness to be heightened and the power of the learning is increased. I also teach some simple anatomy and physiology using a functional full sized skeletal model to help you understand the structure and function of the body. All equipment is provided. Come along in comfortable clothing and bring nothing but your curiosity.
Workshops are generally held on a Saturday for a half day. There is no age limit or fitness level required, everyone learns at their own pace. You will have to lie on a mat on the floor, so if you have concerns about getting up and down from the floor, and doing small gentle movements lying on the floor, then please discuss with me prior to the workshop. I provide a yummy morning tea. Spaces are limited, so best to book early to avoid disappointment.
Workshops are popular with people who are unable to make classes during the week, have an issue they would like to address, and are a good way to try Feldenkrais for first timers.
I also can teach workshops to privately organised groups such as businesses, sports and hobby clubs, and social groups. Please contact me to discuss.
Payment confirms your booking. No refunds but you can choose another date.

Brenda is taking a break from teaching workshops in 2019. If you have a more urgent need or would like to book a private lesson, please contact Brenda directly.
In an individual lesson the focus is on your specific needs, for example, recovery from injury or surgery, fitness or sports performance, working with a health condition, or to address discomfort, pain or limited movement.
Every person and every difficulty is specific and unique. The key benefit of a private lesson is that I can focus on you and your individual needs. I use a non-invasive, informative and interactive approach to guide you into understanding more about your movement habits. You learn how to pay attention to how you move and new learn ways to move that allow your everyday activities to become easier and more comfortable.
Ring me for an appointment – Phone 232 9364 or 021 163 8211. Leave a clear message with name and number if I am unable to answer at the time you ring.
Or, contact me through the website booking system leaving a phone number so I can contact you. It is helpful if you give me a good time(s) to ring you.
Private lessons are at my private practice for one hour by appointment.
Wear comfortable unrestrictive clothing (includes pants) to your appointment.
